I am a psychotherapist and counsellor working with individuals, couples, families and young adults. I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment in which to explore your thoughts and feelings, to help you move beyond your perceived limitations and realise your full potential. I have a number of locations available; my private rooms are in Gower Street, High Holborn (Chancery Lane) and Highgate.
Therapy offers the opportunity to achieve a greater understanding of ourselves and our emotional distress and through the process of therapy we can discover what holds us back, enabling us to change old patterns and find new ways of approaching and overcoming difficulties. This leads to better solutions, it enables us to be better grounded and take more control of our lives, improving confidence and self-esteem.

There are many reasons a person may choose to seek therapy. Some people come because they feel they are facing a crisis, some because they feel stuck, or something known or unknown is upsetting them. Perhaps there is a sense of unease which lacks words, or a pattern of behaviour keeps repeating itself.

‌My approach is integrative, mainly drawing on the Transactional Analysis model, alongside Gestalt, Attachment Theory, Existential, Psychodynamic and CBT models. You can read a brief outline of these here. Therapy, above all, is a collaborative process in which we explore feelings and repeated patterns of behaviour and thinking to help identify the underlying causes of distress.

‌Some of the issues I work with include, but are not exclusive to, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger, relationship issues, stress, bullying, panic attacks, addictions, confidence, career issues, family issues, self-harm and grief and loss.

Alongside my private practice, I am an Associate Student Counsellor at the University of Liverpool.

Consultations
Consultations are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with daytime, evening and early morning appointments available.

In the first instance, I would recommend we arrange a 30 minute telephone consultation, which would be free of charge and without obligation. This allows us to look at the issues you are dealing with, what you hope for from therapy and for me to answer any questions you may have. It also gives me an opportunity to explain a little bit more about how I work and the process of therapy.
